Lucky for us in our community, we’re right near the action with some great local spots to watch the race. Marathon Monday is a perfect chance to get the whole family involved, inspire the kids with the spirit of the race, and make lasting memories together!

Wellesley Square
A fantastic spot to watch the Boston Marathon, especially near the halfway point. The area buzzes with energy as spectators cheer on the runners, and its convenient access via the commuter rail makes it easy to get to the race route.
Wellesley College “Scream Tunnel”
Located around mile 12, this stretch is famous for the wall of enthusiastic students cheering on the runners with deafening screams, creative signs, and plenty of high-fives. The electric energy and unwavering support make it a must-see spot along the course, offering a boost of motivation for the athletes and a memorable experience for spectators.
Heartbreak Hill
The notorious half-mile stretch, located around miles 20 to 21. Known for its challenging incline and unforgiving timing late in the race, it tests the endurance and determination of even the most seasoned runners. Spectators lining this section bring extra energy and encouragement, making it a thrilling spot to cheer on the athletes as they push through one of the toughest parts of the course
Cleveland Circle
Situated near mile 24, it’s a prime location for catching the runners as they start to feel the strain of the race, but still have a bit more to go before the finish line. The area has a fun atmosphere, with plenty of local support and a fantastic vantage point to see the runners move through the final miles. It’s a perfect place to cheer on the athletes as they near the finish line, making it an exciting stop to watch.
